We are running/walking the Corvallis Half Marathon/5k to honor our dad/papa Dean and sister/aunt/mom/ wife Lisa. Lisa and Dean left us too early after dying from Pulmonary Fibrosis and Telomere Biology Disorders (TBDs).
We are fundraising as a family for the organization Team Telomere as we hope someday there will be better treatments and a cure for those with TBDs. Michelle has become involved in the Development Committee of Team Telomere and has witnessed the great work the organization does to support research, families impacted with TBDs and to provide education and guidelines to the medical community.
Corrine and Kincaid will be running the half marathon, Gaelen will be running the 5k and Michelle and Phil walking the 5k. Theodore Guba (Lisa's son) will be joining us on the run remotely. This is a stretch goal for several of us- Kincaid’s first half and Michelle is coming off hip replacement surgery in February. We’re excited to do this run/walk as a family and to honor our loved ones. Please help us to honor Dean and Lisa by donating to the ongoing work of Team Telomere.
