Donate to benefit families impacted by Telomere Biology Disorders today.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re launching The Good News Hour, a campaign to celebrate the progress we’ve made together and to power what’s next.
Since my sister, Lisa, passed away over 2 years ago, I've carried her torch to raise money for research and support of those individuals and families affected by Telomere Biology Disorders. As many of you know, Telomere Biology Disorders are personal for me- having impacted my sister, my dad and cousins and aunties. As I have become more involved in Team Telomere, I've met other families and individuals with similar stories. These stories are often sad but yet I see hope and progress with research into therapy and the potential for a future cure for this disease.
My sister, Lisa, was tenacious and passionate. Lisa was a nurse and enthusiastically participated in medical research to further the information on Telomere Biology Disorders. She attended conferences to network with others with the same disease and to promote Team Telomere as an organization. I was fortunate to attend a Pulmonary Fibrosis conference with her, and I learned a lot and met some of the folks that had become part of her community. Since her passing, I have seen the approval of new FDA therapies for Pulmonary Fibrosis and the glimpse of hope with research that has been supported by Team Telomere.
I have also witnessed the growth of Team Telomere who despite being a small non-profit organization, is tenacious, passionate and incredibly successful at raising money and advocating for those with Telomere Biology Disorders. With your support, we can move closer to a world where every person affected by a Telomere Biology Disorder has access to care, community, and hope for a cure.
Join us in making this Giving Tuesday a true Good News Hour - a celebration of progress and possibility for the entire Telomere Biology Disorder community. Join me in honoring the memory of my sister Lisa!
