Ensure research progresses at the speed of need
Join in me in turning pain into purpose and to keep doing the next right thing
Thank you for helping us to fund $580,000 in research via the Million Dollar Bike Ride. These grants were given to truly gifted scientists, and we are excited to say these projects are still gaining momentum. We see them being presented at conferences we attend and host, sparking even bigger projects, connecting the dots between studies, driving forward collaboration, and more! You made progress happen.
This year has proven to be a challenge. Many people are living in uncertainty - not just our patients. We are all uncertain what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Do we give? And how generously feels safe? Science is under attack. Patients’ lives live in the balance of budgets. Now more than ever we have a deep responsibility to ensure research progresses at the speed of need. We need you to be brave alongside us and ask that you give what you can.
Twelve years ago when my child was diagnosed with bone marrow failure, I had no idea there was a patient advocacy group that would eventually guide me to the best treatment for him - and here I am celebrating his life 10 years post bone marrow transplant and leading the organization that saved his life. To celebrate that and all the progress we have made over the years - together - I am running the Missoula Half Marathon. For every $1000 raised I will honor a patient - with the goal of 16.2 miles, 3.1 for the Missoula 5k on Saturday and 13.1 miles on Sunday for the half marathon.
I am asking you to join in me in turning pain into purpose and to keep doing the next right thing. Please support my personal fundraising page and help me reach $16,000 as quickly as possible. Now is a great time to invest in the legacy of our patients lives. We stand with science today and all days.
