We can empower individuals worldwide impacted by Telomere Biology Disorders
Make a difference, please give today.
My son was diagnosed with a telomere biology disorder when he was 10-years-old, which is how I learned that TBDs run in my family. Having short telomeres affects multiple crucial organs and systems in the body, including bone marrow, lungs, and the liver. So far my son's bone marrow is the main thing affected. His blood counts are low but he's almost 18 and able to live a normal, active life. We are so grateful for that.
But I still want to keep working toward a better world for him and for everyone who has a telomere biology disorder. That's why I'm hoping that on this Giving Tuesday some of you can match my $3,000 donation to Team Telomere, the organization that works to insure accessible care, community, and resources for people with TBDs, with the goal of driving toward improved treatments and, ultimately one day, a cure.
With all the changes happening in our government, making sure that science is funded and set up for success feels more crucial than ever. Even a small donation will help. Thank you for considering it.
