Help Fund Telomere Biology Disorder Research!
Forging a path toward a cure
UPDATE: The Peloton ride for Team Telomere will be on Sunday, June 9 at 1 pm Eastern/10 am PT. We will do this P!nk ride with Christine D'Ercole. I will schedule and send out invites for the ride; if you'd like to be included and we're not connected on Peloton, please send me your handle and I will invite you. Thanks again.

I became involved with Team Telomere after learning that short telomeres run in my family. My dad probably had them — most doctors didn't even know enough 20 years ago to diagnose this — and has passed them on through me. (For those who don't know, telomeres are the end caps on your chromosomes. When they are short, it can lead to numerous health problems.)
Every year TeamTelomere hosts a fundraiser as part of the Million Dollar Bike Ride, held in June in conjunction with UPenn's Orphan Disease Center. As part of the effort — and because I can't ride a real bike — I will be doing a Peloton ride on Sunday, June 9. If you're a Peloton rider, I invite you to join me and can share more info about when we'll be riding as the event gets closer.
If you're not a Peloton person, but would still like to contribute, I would so appreciate it. The more money we raise, the closer we can get to funding new treatments and hopefully finding a cure. Thanks so much for whatever you can give.
